Vice President of Institutional Advancement - Reverend Rita Townsend

Reverend Rita Townsend has served Tubman University in the capacity of Vice President for Institutional Advancement since prior to its charter in 2009. Along with other ‘pioneering’ members of executive, academic, and other staff, Rev. Townsend has seen the University take root in southeast Liberia. 

The Division of Institutional Advancement includes the departments of Public and Media Relations, Institutional Research, Alumni Affairs, and the University’s website.

Rev. Townsend is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Business Administration with emphasis in Project Management, from Walden University. She currently holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Economics, both from the University of San Diego. Rev. Townsend is a Minister of the Presbytery of Liberia. She is Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Harper City. She is First Vice President of the National Association of University Women Harper Maryland County Branch. She is also a member of Project Management Institute, San Diego, California, USA.
